The Appro 1124H based
on the AMD Opteron processor is
a unique solution that groups
together two compact motherboards
in one chassis providing a very
high density 1U server, with a
total of 4 processors per server.
Each motherboard has room for
two dual, quad, or six-core processors
with support for 64GB of system
memory per board. Each board also
has a PCIe x16 expansion slot
and up to two hot-swappable SATA
HDDs. The Appro 1124H is a perfect
performance-optimized server foundation
to build up a large cluster within
a limited datacenter floor space.
Now HPC users can have more processing
performance scalability with a
massively multi-threaded server
architecture at a great entry-level
cost.
The Appro 1124H brings advancements
in power and cooling, memory,
I/O and security optimizing the
platform for the demands of multi-core
processing. It provides outstanding
memory bandwidth while boosting
system responsiveness for data
intensive applications.
In
addition, Appro offers
complete turnkey cluster solution
with open source cluster management
options for our 1U/2U cluster
projects. Appro works with open
source and commercially supported
software such as ROCKS+ and MOAB
from ClusterCorp to deploy a full
service open source, customized
and self-maintained cluster environment.
Ideal
Environment
The Appro 1124H server
is well suited for high performance
computing users who need to maximize
processor density and memory bandwidth
in an energy-efficient platform
without sacrificing space and
features. This server is perfect
for I/O and transactional processing
type of applications in the Oil
and Gas, Financial, Government/Defense,
and many other markets.
