The Appro HyperBlade servers are best fit for highly-computational, memory intensive applications. It offers a great processing foundation for supercomputing clusters and customers that require a flexible density-optimized Hybrid Blade/1U server to support enterprise applications. The Appro HyperBlade supports the Intel® Xeon® processors 3000 and 3200 series targeted for HPC only. These servers offer two boards per chassis nearly cutting the chassis and rack infrastructure cost in half. This cost-effective blade delivers essential server-class features to reduce size, cost, power consumption and complexity. In addition it offers a small form factor board for high performance and high density computing applications enabling greatest system-level innovation. It delivers maximum flexibility, high-performance and value. The Appro HyperBlade is available in three cabinet sizes, each uniquely designed to address High-Performance Computing data center needs. Each HyperBlade node is an independent server with its own processors, memory, storage, network controllers, operating system and applications and can fit all cabinet sizes offering the ability to mix and match cluster building blocks.

Mini-Cluster Solution
The Appro Mini-Cluster is a fully integrated cluster solution supporting up to 17 compute blades. This is the ideal solution for customers who want to start small in a modular cluster computing environment. It provides a very densely packaged cluster building block, perfect for scaling up to meet the demands of the largest computational simulations while conserving floor space.

Mid-Cluster Solution
The Appro Mid-Cluster is a great solution for customers who would like to continue with the standard 19” rack cabinet but are still concerned about space optimization in the data center. The Mid-Cluster supports up to 50 HyperBlade servers in a standard 42U cabinet. It contains five sub-racks stacked in a row housing 10 HyperBlade nodes in each sub-rack.

Full-Cluster Solution
The Appro Full-Cluster provides outstanding performance and reliability for a broad range of enterprise and technical computing applications. With support for up to 80 compute blades, Appro HyperBlade architecture doubles the current rack density using 1U servers. It achieves high-density architecture by using commodity x86 components. It contains five sub-racks housing up to 16 HyperBlade nodes in each sub-rack.

Appro Cluster Management Solution: High-Speed Interconnect and Operating Systems options
The Appro Cluster Management Solution is an outstanding hardware, software monitoring and management tool that gives you in-depth visual status on all hardware subsystems. It consists of Appro BladeDome Remote Management Software and the Appro Blade Command Center cluster management appliance. BladeDome delivers server management functions, reduces IT complexity and improves administration efficiency while lowering the total cost of ownership. It provides enhanced manageability by offering Optional Provisioning Manager allowing the IT administrator to rapidly, reliably, and remotely deploy operating systems, applications, patches, and more across all blade nodes simultaneously. The Appro Cluster Management Solution is designed for the Appro HyperBlade Clusters but is compatible with all of Appro’s server products delivering a cost-effective and simple solution for system administrators.

Dual/Quad-Core - Provides two or four execution cores in one physical processor allowing the platform to do more in less time. Combines the compute density of DP Systems with the cost efficiency of UP Architecture.
Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology Processors - Allow platforms to access larger amounts of memory and will support 64-bit extended operating systems.
Hyper-Threading Technology - Increases system response time by extending system performance beyond GHz operation.
