This Mini-Cluster is designed for the
High-Performance Computing (HPC) market
and is a fully integrated cluster solution
supporting up to 17 compute blades including
a master node. This is the ideal solution
for customers who want to start small
in a modular clustering computing environment.
If transaction or database volumes grow,
customers can add a full-size HyperBlade
cluster cabinet that supports up to
80 nodes. HyperBlade servers can fit
all cabinet sizes including a standard
19 rack offering the ability to
mix and match cluster building blocks.
The Appro Mini-Cluster provides a very
densely packaged cluster building block,
perfect for scaling up to meet the demands
of the largest computational simulations
while conserving floor space. The Mini-Cluster
delivers outstanding price/performance
in a truly flexible, modular and scalable
blade clustering computing solution.
Each HyperBlade is an independent server,
with its own processors, memory, storage,
network controllers, operating system
and applications. The Mini-cluster is
a self-contained smalll rack designed
to address your most serious issues:
space constraints, manageability, scalability,
capacity, performance, cooling and power.
Appro HyperBlade server supports the
Intel® Xeon® processors 3000
and 3200 series targeted for HPC only.
These servers offer two boards per chassis
nearly cutting the chassis and rack
infrastructure cost in half. This cost-effective
blade server delivers essential server-class
features to reduce size, cost, power
consumption and complexity. In addition
it offers a small form factor board
for high performance and high density
computing applications enabling greatest
system-level innovation. The two socket
HyperBlade server solution features
one PCI-Express x8 slot enabling added
I/O such as GbE, Infiniband, SAS RAID
cards with 4 DIMM slots (maximum 8GB)
of DDR2 533/667 memory. It delivers
maximum flexibility, high-performance
and value.
In addition, Appro's offer customized
power supplies with superior cooling
systems to meet current and future processor
technology needs. Appro HyperBlade architecture
provides the performance, reliability,
