The Appro HyperBlade Full-Size cluster provides outstanding performance and reliability for a broad range of enterprise and technical computing applications. With support for up to 80 compute blades, Appro HyperBlade architecture doubles the current rack density using 1U servers. It achieves high-density architecture by using commodity x86 components in a single cluster. Each HyperBlade is an independent server, with its own processors, memory, storage, network controllers, operating system and applications. The Appro sub-rack design for the Full-Cluster solution addresses your most serious issues: space constraints, manageability, scalability, capacity, performance, cooling and power. This modular solution are also designed to take less time to install, fewer people to maintain and cost less compared to most of today's 1U solutions.

Appro HyperBlade server supports the Intel® Xeon® processors 3000 and 3200 series targeted for HPC only. These servers offer two boards per chassis nearly cutting the chassis and rack infrastructure cost in half. This cost-effective blade server delivers essential server-class features to reduce size, cost, power consumption and complexity. In addition it offers a small form factor board for high performance and high density computing applications enabling greatest system-level innovation. The two socket HyperBlade server solution features one PCI-Express x8 slot enabling added I/O such as GbE, Infiniband, SAS RAID cards with 4 DIMM slots (maximum 8GB) of DDR2 533/667 memory. It delivers maximum flexibility, high-performance and value.

Custom Rack Cooling Technologies: Appro engineers custom power supplies and offers superior cooling systems to meet customer needs. Appro offers 3 blowers for each individual blade node. Appro also offers a rear door cabinet exhaust cooling option. This option provides improved cooling through smarter airflow management and reduces hot air in the data center.

Appro Cluster Management Solution, High-Speed Interconnect and Operating Systems options:
The Appro Cluster Management Solution is an outstanding hardware and software monitoring and management tool that gives you in-depth visual status on all your hardware subsystems. It consists of Appro BladeDome Remote Management Software and Appro Command Center, cluster management appliance. Appro BladeDome delivers server management functions, reduces IT complexity and improves administration efficiency while lowering the total cost of ownership. It now provides enhanced manageability by offering Optional Provisioning Manager allowing the IT administrator to rapidly, reliably, and remotely deploy operating systems, applications, patches, and more across all blade nodes simultaneously Appro offers high-speed interconnect options such as Myrinet, Dolphin, Quadrics and InfiniBand™ for all cluster solutions. Appro also offers a choice of Linux or Windows operating systems

Intel® Xeon® Processor 3000 or 3200 Series:

Dual/Quad-Core - Provides two or four execution cores in one physical processor allowing the platform to do more in less time. Combines the compute density of DP Systems with the cost efficiency of UP Architecture.

Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology Processors (EM64T) allow platforms to access larger amounts of memory and will support 64-bit extended operating systems.

Hyper-Threading Technology -Increases system response time by extending system performance beyond GHz operation.
