great processing foundation for supercomputing
clusters and customers that require
a flexible density-optimized Hybrid
Blade/1U server to support enterprise
applications. The Appro HyperBlade,
based on Intel Xeon Processor 5000 sequence,
brings new advancements in memory, power,
I/O, and security, optimizing the platform
for the demands of multi-core processing.
They provide up to three times the memory
bandwidth and four times the capacity
with fully buffered DIMM memory, boosting
system responsiveness for data-intensive
applications. The HyperBlade server
uses the latest Intel® 5400 chipset
and supports the latest technologies
available such as Intel® EM64T,
PCI Express, I/O and graphics to provide
outstanding server performance and scalability
required for next-generation data centers.
The Appro HyperBlade is available in
three cabinet sizes, each uniquely designed
to address High-Performance Computing
data center needs. Each HyperBlade node
is an independent server with its own
processors, memory, storage, network
controllers, operating system and applications
and can fit all cabinet sizes offering
the ability to mix and match cluster
building blocks.
Mid-Cluster Solution
The Appro Mid-Cluster
is a great solution for customers who
would like to continue with the standard
19” rack cabinet but are still
concerned about space optimization in
the data center. The Mid-Cluster supports
up to 50 HyperBlade servers in a standard
42U cabinet. It contains five sub-racks
stacked in a row housing 10 HyperBlade
nodes in each sub-rack.
